Llangollen and its surrounding area offers some exceptional moutain biking for almost all levels of ability. As well as having many open lanes and trails there are a number of high quality specialist mountain bike venues within easy travelling distance of Llangollen.
The venues are designed for mountain biking and offer a number tracks for different levels of ability from family runs through the woods to black run sculpted hand made tracks for heroes.

Llandegla Forest
The forest has mountain biking trails suitable for beginners and family groups; more challenging routes for experienced bikers; and a choice of picturesque walking trails.
All tracks are completely enclosed within the forest, with no main roads to cross. Within the Visitor Centre there is a café and a variety of facilities for bikers, all just 7 miles from Wrexham
Coed -y- Brenin
Coed y Brenin has something to offer mountain bikers of all abilities. All trails start and finish at the New Visitor Centre where there is ample car parking, a café, toilets, changing facillities and showers. Also located at the visitor centre is the "Summit" bike shop for parts, spares/repairs and bike hire.
The Penmachno Trail
The Penmachno Trail is a challenging trail with some steady climbs taking in some more spectacular scenery. The trail uses plenty of forest roads but also includes some decent singletrack incorporating bridge crossings, elevated wooden sections (not North Shore) and stream crossings.
